Project Thursday {you're the best}

I'm over at the Precious Remembrance blog today with a real quickie - it's Holy Thursday, and a couple brothers are in from out of town, so I want to enjoy my time with them! :)
Like I mentioned on my release day post for the new Mom and Dad set, I made a similar card to the release day card to share with you today!

Gah! I just swoon everytime I see these glasses! These would also be perfect for Valentines Day and love cards. ;)

A few buttons finished off the wonky look...

That's it for me today! I hope you have a blessed Easter!

A True Friend

There's something so unique, and, well, special about Special Delivery. So many fun patterns and elements - what's not to love?
While this line works well for pretty much any occasion, I decided to make a sweet friendship card...

Popped up some of the triangles for a little more interest. :)

There are lots of other fun prints in this collection that are perfect for paper piecing, collage, or just standing on their own! Go ahead, give it a go! :)

A little birdie told me...

I had some free time yesterday (after getting a lot of things checked off the 'clean-up-my-life' list), and thought I'd make a card for this months Papertrey Ink hop, starring...

I don't think I've made a card with sequins yet, at least not recently, so this was a fun challenge.
I knew I wanted to string the sequins and wrap them around something, so once that part was done, the rest came together pretty quickly.

The sequins actually came from an old headband - I didn't have any in my stash, so that was the only place to turn.
I also wanted to add some subtle woodgrain embossing using my new PTI woodgrain embossing plate, but I forgot to purchase the pads with the rest of the order, so the plate is pretty useless to me right now...unless anyone out there knows how to make it work without the pads...? ;) Come on, I'm counting on you!

That's it for today, peeps!
God bless and thanks for stopping in!

Spring cleaning

...my life. ;)
It's crazy how much stuff I need to clean and work on right now, and one of those things I need to get done is get the winner for the Throwback Tuesday posts! And that winner is...

Congrats Terry! Please e-mail me within two weeks for deets on the goodies! :)

Today, I'll be working up on scheduling lots of Throwback Tuesday posts so I don't get behind, like this past time. ;)
Also, a card I made for this months Hero Arts contest...

People, there is NO patterned paper on this card! Can you believe it, coming from this patterned paper loving girl?!
The feather design was super fun (though a little time consuming) to make - I stamped the feather (it's a single image) once on the watercolor cardstock with Versamark, then covered it with some embossing powder, then repeated about a bazillion times. The reason for stopping after each stamping to cover with powder was because I couldn't see my last impression without the powder, and I didn't want any overlapping.
Topped off with an embossed sentiment (I was in a little bit of an embossing craze ;)) and some pearls.

The card is much prettier in real life, where you can see the colors better.

Anywho, that's it for today!
Thanks so much for stopping in today, and God bless!

Precious Remembrance {New Release!}

Hiya peeps! I'm here today (late!) with a card debuting the newest Precious Remembrance stamp set!
Okay, what is there NOT to love about this set, Mom and Dad?!

I was so excited getting this in the mail, not only because of the unique and adorable images, but the fact it's Mom and Dad themed. Good parent themed stamp sets seem rare, and this one is a gem!

Don't you just LOVE those glasses?! So cute! I had fun making this card, and on my next Project Thursday post, you'll be seeing another version of this card (just because I loved the washi and color combo so much)

Be sure to check out the blog for the amazing cards by the rest of the design team (including our two new members - congrats!) AND for a chance to win this stamp set!
Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!

Sweet freedom!

...spring break is here at last! That being the case, I will be able to catch up on blogging, cleaning, sleeping, and crafting!
I'm popping in today to share a pub and a magazine!
This was card was published in the February Create book...nice and flat for mailing...

Aren't these houses just the cutest? So wonky and whimsical!
Using some papers from Bazzill's 'Wayfarer' collection - I am in love with it and the Vintage Marketplace collection! Oh, and by the way, I only recently realized Bazzill had two 'l''s in it - all this time I've been putting 'Bazzil' down in the supply lists! lol duh!

The sentiment stamps from the Mi Casa stamp set (another fave) coordinate perfectly here...

And now for that magazine...the last issue of the PaperCut I'll be in *sniffle* It's been a great two years with GCD Studios. :)
Ooo, and aren't those eggs the cutest!?

I'll be popping in again soon to catch up on the Throwback Tuesdays posts, and an awesome new stamp set from Precious Remembrance!
Thanks for stopping in and God bless!
